General chit chat about the flowarts

flowarts.io roadmap

Forums

Hey folks. I figured I'd post here with all the projects that we have going on here.

So we soft launched the site with Nick Woolsey's foundations course and all the elearning functionality and membership stuff setup.

I'll be adding his advanced course soon. So that will increase the elearning content from 12 hours to 28 hours. Which will be epic.

What forums do we need on here?

Forums

I need to add a load of forums different discussion groups. There'll be one for all the courses which I guess will be for members who do the courses. But everything else will be public. Do we want to separate out different props like poi and staff? Do we need ones for music or performances or showcases?

Let's decide here, I'm open to suggestions.

What do you want to see on flowarts.io?

Forums

This is a brand new project and we have a ton of plans for how it will evolve over time.

But I want to hear from all of you. What do you want to see on here? I'm a web developer and can build pretty much anything you want.

So let's start the conversation, as a community where do we want to take this project?

Hello and welcome. It's so good to see all these new users signing up.

Let's get to know each other a little better.

What's your name? Where are you from? What flowarts are you into?

I'll start. I'm Matt Terry, I'm from the uk but have lived out in New Zealand for 20 odd years. I got into poi in 2000 after seeing some spinners at burning man and having a deep sense of know how to do that.

I made a website called spherculism and posted heaps of videos and taught a lot of people to spin. I made a dvd called Sphercular Vision in 2005.
